vapours or gases, flames and explosions, severe exposure to sunlight (sunburn), electrical current or friction.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f3a7efe elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f3a7efe\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAt first, some burns seem less severe than they actually are. In most cases, these sequelae don&#8217;t make themselves felt or become visible until later. For that reason, burns usually require medical attention \u2013 or, in the case of severe burns, emergency treatment \u2013 and immediate admission to a clinic specialising in burns surgery.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a90841a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a90841a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBurn injuries which exceed a certain degree often have severe, long-lasting consequences for the person concerned. The severity of burns is classified into four degrees:\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9fe92fa elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9fe92fa\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\r\n \t<li><span class=\"blk100\">1st degree\r\nReddening and slight swelling of the skin, pain, epidermis affected, completely reversible<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span class=\"blk100\">2nd degree\r\nBlistering with red-white base, severe pain, epidermis and dermis affected, complete healing either without (2a) or with scarring (2b)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span class=\"blk100\">3rd degree\r\nBlack-and-white necroses \/ blisters, no pain, or only very little, as the nerve endings are destroyed, dermis and subcutis affected, irreversible<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span class=\"blk100\">4th degree\r\nCarbonisation, no pain, all skin layers and bones \/ fasciae beneath them affected, irreversible<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e2dc350 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e2dc350\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe consequences of burns often render many years of follow-up treatment and aftercare necessary. For example, <a href=\"https:\/\/wolff-edusei.de\/en\/skin\/microsurgical-scar-correction\/\">exuberant scarring<\/a> can often result from a burn injury. The scars are not only perceived as unaesthetic, but can also lead to physical restrictions and handicaps.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-372b299 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"372b299\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAs burns often extend beyond the joints, the formation of the scars and the contraction of the scar over time (cicatricial contraction) can lead to restrictions of movement or, in the worst case, to a stiffening of the joint(s) concerned.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dc72ffd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"dc72ffd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWith burns, it thus comes down on the one hand to the right immediate treatment and, on the other, to professional aftercare to prevent functional restrictions and results which cause aesthetic problems.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-731d1ae elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"731d1ae\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn the aftercare of burns, the persons affected come for check-ups on a very regular basis.
